When you register and interact with nsuOne, we collect information necessary to deliver authentic peer-to-peer campus services:
- NSU Credentials: Your official student email (
@northsouth.edu), student ID, full name, and department. - Contact Information: Phone number or WhatsApp number for appointment coordination, SMS security alerts, and tutor communications.
- Academic Data: Course grades, completed credits, and transcripts uploaded solely for verifying tutor qualifications (e.g. A / A- grades).
- Transaction Records: NSU One wallet ledgers, bKash / Nagad / Rocket transaction IDs (TrxID), and payout requests. We never store debit/credit card PINs or banking passwords.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use student data strictly for verified campus operations:
- Verifying student status to keep nsuOne an exclusive, trusted environment for NSUers.
- Facilitating tutor discovery, lesson scheduling, and peer advising appointments.
- Processing wallet debits, tutor payouts, and verified refund resolutions.
- Sending critical transaction SMS alerts, one-time passwords (OTP), and appointment scheduling updates.
3. Faculty Reviews & Public Feedback
Course difficulty ratings, instructor evaluations, and tips submitted by students are published to guide the student community. Reviewers can choose to display their name or post with student anonymity where supported. Offensive, discriminatory, or defamatory statements violating NSU's Code of Conduct are moderated and removed.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to external advertisers. Information is only processed through secure infrastructure:
- SMS Providers: Encrypted telephone routing for OTP and appointment notifications.
- Discord Operations Webhooks: Internal administrative alerts for real-time payment verification and dispute moderation.
5. Security & Account Deletion
All passwords are cryptographically hashed with salted bcrypt algorithms. You may request account closure or data extraction at any time by contacting our helpdesk.
